Custom
You can type your own job type directly in the Add custom job type… field at the bottom of the picker.
Custom job types
If none of the preset types match your work:
- Open the Job Types picker.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap the Add custom job type… field.
- Type your custom type name and confirm.
Custom types appear in the Custom section of the picker and are available for all future jobs.
Service intervals and due dates
Service interval
A service interval tells OnSite how often a job needs to be revisited.
- On the job edit screen, adjust Service Interval using the stepper (in months).
- Set it to 0 (shown as None) if the job does not recur.
When you mark a job as Serviced in the Calendar tab, OnSite calculates the next due date automatically based on the interval.
Due date
A due date is a fixed deadline for a job.
- Toggle Due Date on.
- Pick the date from the date picker.
The job then appears in the Calendar tab when it’s approaching or overdue.
Last service
Each time you tap Serviced in the Calendar, OnSite records a service timestamp. You’ll see Last Service: [date] in the job detail view.
Job status
Each job can be set to one of two statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | The job is in progress or upcoming. |
| Completed | The job is finished. Set a Completion Date to record when. |
Change the status by tapping Job Status on the edit screen.
Job notes
Add free-text notes to any photo associated with this site’s jobs. For job-level text, use the Caption or Note fields on individual photos within the site.
Detailed notes are stored per photo. If you need a general job note, add a photo with a caption describing the work, or use the site’s Files section to attach a document.
Deleting a job
Deleting a job is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Open the job detail view.
- Tap Edit.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete “[Job Name]”.
- Confirm in the alert.
